Group Use

At present the bus is available to any non-profit groups in Winslow and the Aylesbury Vale area, on all days except the following:

  • The 1st Tuesday of the month
  • Every Wednesday morning until 1pm
  • 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month until 1pm
  • Every Friday and Saturday morning until 1pm

All groups must affiliate to The Winslow Community Bus at a cost of £10.00 per annum.

The charge for the use of the bus is £10.00 per hour for bus with driver, plus 85p per mile travelled, 75p for journeys over 100 miles.

The bus carries 16 passengers and is fitted with a tail-lift and low entrance step.

 

All of our drivers are volunteers and have received full MiDas training.

MiDAS is the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme and is administered by the Community Transport Association. The scheme provides a nationally recognised standard for the assessment and training of minibus drivers and has been designed to enhance minibus driving standards and promote the safer operation of minibuses
